The staff at Media Access were first involved in media research in the early 1990’s and since then, have worked for every UK national broadcaster and major print titles. They service a number of international news media and press agencies.
The research completed by Media Access is strictly Data Protection Act 2018 (GDPR) compliant and among our number, we have a leading authority on Data Protection, in particular, Journalism and Data Protection
Media Access does not act illegally and although entitled to protection in accordance with the 2nd schedule part 5, paragraph 26 of the Data Protection Act 2018, does not rely on the media exemptions to complete its legitimate research.
For detailed genealogy and external research, we employ trained genealogists and in addition to on-line research, use archived public material and directories.
The staff at Media Access, remain in contact with journalists, who were once employed at a national level, in the broadcast and print media and have since become self-employed or now run agencies. Those journalists form the core of our Journalist Databases and the multi-faceted services provided to both Journalists/Researchers and the Public.
